Bike Utah releases new app for iPhone

I recently downloaded Bike Utah's new mobile app for iPhone, and though it was simple, it provided what I needed to know without many frills and complicated app stuff. The app, currently only available for iPhone, opens to a 'Welcome' screen which gives the user some basic info on the non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization. Bike Utah, Utah's statewide advocacy organization, assists planners, transportation and elected officials, and Utahns as whole to understand bicycling issues at a statewide level. Made up of recreational and commuter cyclists, bicycle manufacturers, retails shops, and transit advocates working to improve bicycling conditions in the state of Utah, Bike Utah has done an excellent job at reaching another demographic: smart phone users.

Neither Bike Utah nor SaltCycle condones using the app while bicycling, it is a useful resource that condenses what is presented on their full scale website into a convenient, portable app. From news, Bike Summit info, and Utah cycling laws to the ability to shop for Bike Utah apparel, see statewide events, view and read media, and socialize with Bike Utah and its members and fans via Facebook, the app is a great resource for any bicyclist, advocate, or interested user.

To download the app for free, visit the App Store.
