Watch the Tour de France on the big screen thanks to TOU organizers

Following the success of last year's Tour de France live viewing party in the early hours of the morning at the Gateway Megaplex Theatre, Tour of Utah organizers are offering the same opportunity (and more!) for this year's Tour enthusiasts on Wednesday, July 18th, at 6:30 am at the Gateway Megaplex Theatre (166 S Rio Grande St (450 W)). There will also be viewing parties at Megaplex theatres in Ogden and Lehi.

Watch Stage 16 (Pau to Bagneres-de-Luchon) of the 99th Tour de France live on the big screen at one of three Megaplex Theatres (Salt Lake, Lehi, and Ogden). Admission is free and will include a catered breakfast. Last year's food was provided by Corner Bakery.

Chris Boardman (CyclingNews.com) gives us a preview of the day's stage (below), which includes four major climbs (including the famous Col du Tourmalet) and highly probably changes in the leaders of the Tour. It will be exciting racing indeed.

Wiggins (L) and Evans are the Tour's general classification
favorites for this the 99th edition of the Tour de France.
Last year's Tour de France live viewing party was also presented by the Tour of Utah and took place on the Tour's antipenultimate day before the final individual time trial which was decisive in Cadel Evans' victory after several years of second place finishes.

Without Andy Schleck in this year's Tour, the yellow jersey is predicted to be fought over by two men: Bradley Wiggins (UK, Sky Pro Cycling) and Cadel Evans (AUS, BMC Racing). The Tour viewing party will be a chance to watch them battle it out in the final days of the Tour.

Tour of Utah organizers will also be giving away a lot of free swag, like last year, so be sure to attend (remember, it's free) to win yourself some serious prizes. Did we mention it's free? What do you have to lose?

The race features seven teams that will compete at the Tour of Utah just three weeks later here in Utah, including: Omega Pharma-Quick Step (BEL), Liquigas-Cannondale (ITA), Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda (USA), BMC Racing Team (USA), RadioShack-Nissan-Trek (LUX), Rabobank Cycling Team (NED), and Team Argos-Shimano (NED).
