Levi Leipheimer, Millcreek Bicycles promote the Echelon Project on Sat, 7/14

Levi Leipheimer, two-time winner and defending Tour of Utah champion, has helped Tour of Utah organizers and Millcreek Bicycles promote a Ride for Fun, Ride for Life ride and publicity event benefitting the Echelon Project at Millcreek Bicycles' shop at the Olympus Hills Mall next Saturday, July 14th, at 9 am.

The event, ride, and Echelon Project as a whole aims to promote awareness of health problems in the United States and cycling as the obvious and simple cure for obesity and some types of diabetes.

From the Tour of Utah site:
"Second in a series of three family fun clinics devoted to inspiring and educating kids and parents about fitness, nutrition and bikes! Featuring Tour of Utah and other professional cyclists, nutritionists, bike mechanics who will demonstrate maintenance techniques, and Mike and the Bike. The teamgive crew will be on-hand with a bike derby and safe-biking techniques, and Winder Farms will be giving out free samples of chocolate milk and their new Recovery Drink!"

Join the Tour of Utah crew and Millcreek Bicycles for a fun event for a great cause. Levi is racing in the Tour de France, and will not be present, but please help support a great cause anyhow. More info on the Calendar page.
