Mike Dion, producer and racer in the hit mountain biking film Ride the Divide, which follows racers in the Tour Divide race from Canada to Mexico, is at it again with an amazingly filmed and produced adventure film called Reveal the Path, which asks the question: If you could ride anywhere in the world, where would you ride? In the process, Dion and fellow filmmakers capture exquisite locales and adventures, planned and unplanned.
Mike will be in Salt Lake City for the Utah premiere of the film on July 12th, 2012, at Brewvies Cinema Pub, for two showings at 7 and 9 pm. More details on calendar. Up for grabs are two tickets ($10 value each) to each showing (for a total of four) to contest winners. So what's the contest?
To answer the question posed by the film If you could ride anywhere in the world, where would you ride?, send us pictures of your adventures by bike, we'll post them here, and you'll win tickets to the show! If your photo/adventure is really good, we might just give you two (for you and your date).
So get adventuring, send us your bike adventure photos (to: tom at saltcycle dot org), and you'll get to see this rad movie for free. Simple enough.
Winners' bike adventure photos after the break.
1st Winner: Earl Lewis
Adventure: Mountain biking on the Cummins Creek Trail south of Yachats, Oregon
2nd & 3rd Winners: Risshan & Joanna
Adventure: After spending 5 months volunteering in Africa, newly weds Risshan and Joanna decided to go to Europe and ride bikes. This was the greatest adventure of their lives, leaving behind friends, family and cushy jobs that were not promised when they got home.
This is Risshan and Joanna riding from Antwerp to Amsterdam, deciding to stop and picnic (living on the cheap) at this lake that was on the trail.
4th (and final) Winner: Christy Jensen
Adventure: This photo was taken on the first day of a 10 day bike tour through Bavaria. Everyone was bright eyed and bushy tailed that day. I'm sure the grin on my face shows that. We meandered through the countryside of Bavaria on our way to Eurobike. It is amazing what the path reveals to you when you open yourself up to it.
Post-contest entries. Thanks guys:
