New bike count infographic highlights correlation between bikeways and ridership

Tell us what you think about the correlation between safe and
standard bike infrastructure and trips made by bike.

  1. We should increase the bikeway miles by 200%! (While this is a sarcastic comment, I wouldn't be against it)

  2. SLCDOT is doing something right. Us cyclists should stand behind and support any official who has the foresight to implement more bike infrastructure. Thanks for the graphic.

  3. Correlation is not causation.

  4. In response to Michael Wilson:   Completion of the Legacy Trail with a connection to the Jordan River Trail  and the increased bike lane mileage within SLC has created a "causation" opportunity for at least one cyclist.

  6.  Good to hear it Dan. I love the boardwalk section especially. And the pavement is silky smooth. Thanks to Salt Lake Engineering and to Dan Bergenthal at SLC Transportation Division.

  7. Regarding the planked bridge linking the Legacy with the Jordan, beware of the wooden surface when frost is apparent.
