Wasatch Touring is announcing their Summer bike clinic schedule for August and September, with the return of Ladies Wrench Night.
Focused around helping community members learn more about maintaining their bicycle,bike fit, and cross training off the bike, these clinics are designed to educate and make cycling more enjoyable.
After the success of the first Ladies Wrench Night two more women only wrench nights have been added to the schedule to accommodate skill level and popularity. Community members can also look forward to learning the basics of bike fit, maintenance and yoga for cyclists.
All clinics are free and are taught at the Wasatch Touring shop located at 702 East 100 South. Clinics run from 6-7pm unless otherwise noted. Anyone who attends a clinic will receive 15 percent off any bike related purchases that day. Below is a schedule of the clinics for August and September.

August 3- Basic ladies Night Clinic
Ladies wrench night is a women only clinic taught to fit the needs of women on a bike. Come to a clinic taught by a certified bike mechanic and learn the basic ins and out of a bicycle, how to change a flat, adjust your brakes and derailleurs, clean your drive train, and maintain your bicycle for longevity.6-7 pm.
August 17- Basic Bike Fit
Bike fit is a major part of feeling comfortable and wanting to ride a bike. Why do seat height and stem length matter for comfort and maximum efficiency on a bike? Get the answers to all of your bike fit questions and more at the basics of bike fit. Participants will find out what bike size is appropriate for their height and sex, how to set their saddle to the correct height and angle, and what stem lengths and angles work best for each person. This workshop is open to people of all abilities and ages. 6-7 pm
August 24- Ladies Advanced Wrench Night
Ladies Advanced Wrench Night is designed for women who have a basic understanding of bike maintenance. The clinic will cover cable and housing instillation, wheel truing, and major brake and derailleur adjustments. The clinic is taught by certified bike mechanic and is open to women of all ages. 6-7 pm
September 3- Yoga for cyclists
A slow paced instructional yoga session that focuses on stretching and strengthening muscles that are used while riding a bike as well as all around strength. The clinic is taught by a professional yoga instructor who is an avid bike commuter . This is a morning clinic and starts at 10 am. Please bring your own yoga mat.
September 7- Basics of bike maintenance
There is a lot that can be done on your own to ensure the longevity of your bike. Knowing how and what to use to clean your bike properly and how to basic adjustments can save time and headaches in the future. Learn what needs to be cleaned on your frame and drive train, how to do basic adjustments on your derailleurs and brakes, and how to install/remove pedals. 6-7 pm
