Tour of Utah team car volunteers needed

In addition to the call for regular volunteers made in a post a few weeks ago, the Tour of Utah's Volunteer Coordinator and BikeUtah chairperson Tara McKee is now looking for more volunteers to help prep the team cars and other course caravan cars that will be used during the Tour of Utah.

From August 5th-7th at the Tour of Utah team compound parking lot area at the Sheraton Hotel in Salt Lake City, volunteers will be placing decals on all cars that will drive the course as well as placing Yakima racks on the team cars. (Two Yakima reps will be present to demo how to put on the racks and will assist.)

As many hands make light work, we could really use some help from many volunteers. We’ll start at 9 am during those 3 days and volunteers are welcome to work a full day or half day. Lunch will be provided for those who can give help for a full day. Additionally, some help will be needed for about 3 hours after the Tour to remove the decals and racks, starting about 4:30 pm on Sunday, Aug. 14th.

(That work will go much faster as many of the drivers/teams take the decals off
themselves.)

If you can help, please reply to Tara McKee to let her know! Pass this along to friends who might be interested as well.
