Bike Polo Tomorrow

via www.slcpolo.blogspot.com

OKEE DOKEE FOLKS,

It looks like there is new steam in the SLC Hardcourt world. The grass guys are looking for something different which means asphalt.

We will be out at the ol' handball arena (Liberty Park) tomorrow (Tuesday 8/24/10) 7 P.M. to play some polo. Let's get out there and kick some ass.

Cyclocross Season 2010

Boy howdy but I'm excited!
This isn't typical Saltcycle fare, but I'm going to try to make it to most every CX race this season, unless I get bored or broke of money or spirit. The season starts off with some pre-series series, The Euclid Weekly Race Series starting next Wednesday at 5:30 PM in Heber, and the Raleigh Cross Races at This is the Place State Park starting September 11th. For the far away races I'll be driving, so if anyone needs a ride gimme a holler. The Euclid races'll be a great chance to try out CX as they're $10 apiece. Then the season starts in earnest, all info at Utah Cyclocross. Thanks to Cycling Utah for the Cross Calender

Bikestravaganza coming to Salt Lake!

Mark you calenders for August 30th, the Bikestravaganza is in town!
In their words:
The Bikestravaganza Tour is an interactive, multimedia, DIY bike summit roadshow in August and September 2010. Are we coming to your town? We hope so! And we need you to help us set up the show, spread the word, and of course show up and talk about bikes.

They'll be in town this August 30 (Monday) at Point Six Percent Productions space (1130 South Richards Street). (Brian's warehouse)Sign up at the Facebook event

Come one come all to the tallbike joust! Good times guaranteed for all! We'll meet at the NW corner of Liberty Park and ride to a secret location, tall bikes and jousting poles should be available.

Critical Mass

So this isn't specifically about Salt Lake, but it's pretty funny. Do you guys still go? A fellow from SF is coming in this wednesday and wanted to ride mass, I rarely go anymore but am trying to hunt down a 56 and 54 cm bike for him and his girlfriend.
