Midnight Mass Postponed

"Hey everyone. I've talked to a bunch of people and we all think that
it would be better to reschedule our Midnight Mass to be next friday
the 12th due to rain and nastyness. This way our costume won't get
junky and wrecked before halloween. I know that nobody really has the
jurisdiction to cancel a Midnight Mass ride but I just wanted to let
ya'll know that we will be getting together to ride next Friday
instead if you would like to join us. We might be there tonight just
telling ppl about the rescheduling. Don't get me wrong- if you want to
ride anyway please do:)

CALL WHOEVER YOU KNOW who was coming tonight to let them know please!!!"

I don't want my bike stereo to get fried either, so I will be a no show. To the faithful bicyclist who have Portland Rain in their blood, enjoy the evening, but the mass will be few, if not non-existent.

  1. Guess this wasn't posted soon enough. Six of us did show. It was only raining a little bit so it wasn't bad.

  2. Looks like it worked out. Six is a good number. Hopefully, it will work out a little better next time. If not, we always have Critical Mass as a backup to get some of that group riding for the month.

  3. I was one of the six. No Portland blood here, just dedicated and equipped!

So, there still going to be another midnight ride this week? Separate from Critical and Midnight Masses, anyone know of a regular, at least weekly, ride in SLC? Hopefully one that's helmet and jersey optional. If there isn't one, there is definitely enough cyclists to have one. That is if SLC is hardcore enough!

  4. Chelsea mentioned the ride, I imagine she will get back with the SLC Critical Mass Mailing List or just us in general if she wants to follow through with that ride.

The most complete SLC Bicycle Event list I know of is @ http://www.cyclingutah.com/html/cyclingeventscalendar.html

If there is another, I would like to learn about it.

  5. There were rides every week at the library at 6pm on wednesday. There were also rumors of a mid-month mass on the second friday of the month at galavan at 5:30pm. That's it i think.
