Video: Utah State Criterium Championships in downtown SLC last month

Thanks to VeloSport Racing for a video (on-board and spectactor view) of the Utah State Criterium Championship race, which took place on June 23, 2012. The race (criterium is a short and fast timed race with high speeds and an enclosed circuit) was a four-corner race around the Salt Palace (200 S, 200 W, South Temple, West Temple) that was perfect for downtown passers-by and spectators to enjoy.

We appreciate the race organizers and racers for contributing to an important facet of bicycling in Salt Lake City. Getting as many different types of bicyclists in one city as possible will help change the perception that we are all 20-something youngsters who haven't grown up yet.

Congratulations also to the state champions who will proudly wear the Utah Life Elevated champion's jersey for the next year. Wear it proud.

[Not featured in the video, but participating none the less, was the SaltCycle Racing Team, taking 7th, 10th, and 11th in the Cat 5 race, and, 21st and 23rd in the Cat 4 race.]
