I'm Totally Serious
No, really, check out the awesomeness:
That's right folks, I don't have to work until 3am anymore on Fridays, which means I'm coming to mass. Don't know if it's still going on, but it sure better be tomorrow! Meet at the Gallivan at midnight if you wanna ride!
Kristi Clark is heading up a bike count in Salt Lake for the National Bicycle/Pedestrian Documentation project! They'll be counting all the bikes that go by between specific spots on September 14-16 (Tuesday through Thursday) 5-7 pm and Sept. 18-19 (Saturday and Sunday) noon-2 pm. She needs volunteers! Here's what you can do: Click here to see all the spots needed, and choose a couple at which to help out. Then sign up using this google doc!
OR, just bike back and forth between the area that you think could use the most bike amenities added on all your different bikes. Jus' sayin.

Not only does Provo have sweet bike jousting (on Xtracycles!!), they also have their own bike community website! Cross-pollinate, go!
Boy howdy but I'm excited!
This isn't typical Saltcycle fare, but I'm going to try to make it to most every CX race this season, unless I get bored or broke of money or spirit. The season starts off with some pre-series series, The Euclid Weekly Race Series starting next Wednesday at 5:30 PM in Heber, and the Raleigh Cross Races at This is the Place State Park starting September 11th. For the far away races I'll be driving, so if anyone needs a ride gimme a holler. The Euclid races'll be a great chance to try out CX as they're $10 apiece. Then the season starts in earnest, all info at Utah Cyclocross. Thanks to Cycling Utah for the Cross Calender
Mark you calenders for August 30th, the Bikestravaganza is in town!
In their words:
The Bikestravaganza Tour is an interactive, multimedia, DIY bike summit roadshow in August and September 2010. Are we coming to your town? We hope so! And we need you to help us set up the show, spread the word, and of course show up and talk about bikes.
They'll be in town this August 30 (Monday) at Point Six Percent Productions space (1130 South Richards Street). (Brian's warehouse)Sign up at the Facebook event
So this isn't specifically about Salt Lake, but it's pretty funny. Do you guys still go? A fellow from SF is coming in this wednesday and wanted to ride mass, I rarely go anymore but am trying to hunt down a 56 and 54 cm bike for him and his girlfriend.
Boys allowed this time on this usually ladies-only Salty Spokes ride! Here's the catch, though: you've gotta bring a girl!
