Bike Utah and SLC Transportation have teamed up to bring the first Open Streets initiative to Salt Lake City.
On Saturday May 4, Open Streets SLC will temporarily open a busy downtown street exclusively to walking, biking, jogging, and more – no vehicle traffic. There will be extra fun along the route – activities such as yoga, dance classes, sports, and family friendly games and activities. Be a part of this national movement and volunteer at Open Streets SLC! Join us as we explore and get to know downtown in a new way. 70 volunteers are needed to help with many aspects of the event, and 2-3 hour shifts are available from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. Learn more about Open Streets SLC at www.bikeslc.com.

This sounds absolutely incredible. Thanks so much for getting this going! If I was in the country, I promise I'd make my way for this one. I hope it goes over as well as I'm imagining it.
