It's been about a month since the City's planning division made a proposal to the Mayor's Bicycle Advisory Committee about its project to improve the 200 South corridor between Downtown and the University of Utah to make it a viable and truly usable and safe way to bike and walk between these two busy hubs.
In its efforts to further the viability and effectiveness, the City is looking for our input to change the project, improve it, and make it the best it can possibly be. There will be an open house this Thursday, May 12th, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, on the existing green median located at 200 South and McClelland St (~1050 E), in front of Coffee Noir. Come to the open house to learn more about the project, see new visual material, and give the team your suggestions for the project.
Visit their website for more info on the project and updates and progress reports. Also check here on SaltCycle for further input and changes to the project. You can also visit Salt Lake City's Open City Hall forum at www.slcgov.com/opencityhall to post a public comment about this project.
