Sunday Training Ride and Possible Bike Collective Team!

From Gary, might bookend nicely with Noble's oppurtunity to start a team. :) Dirty SLC bike kids ride together!: 


"There has been a lot of talk in and around the collective to get a riding/racing club/team together.  I'm pretty excited about the possibility of something like that so I'd like to invite anyone who is interested to attend a weekly group ride, every sunday at noon, meet at the gallivan plaza (200 south, 50 east) by the rock-up-on-the-mirror-column-thingy.  This will be a no-drop ride (we go as fast as the slowest person) for the first hour-ish then we'll pick it up a little bit to more of a race training pace.  I would like the biggest emphasis of this ride to be community building through cycling, but I have a personal interest in putting a racing team together so if that's something you've been thinking about please come out. 

For the next couple months it's going to be cold so if you come, make sure you're prepared for the forecast.  If you're not crazy enough to bike in it, don't worry, this will be a year-round event and I'll be sending out periodic reminders.  Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding this ride or racing in general."

Tom: And is there anyone who would want to do a ride on Fridays or Saturdays, for those who cannot or who aren't available on Sundays? If there are, leave a comment, and we'll make two rides per weekend.

    !!!!ATTENTION READERS!!!!

    I have something that needs to be posted here. A large handful of us (10+) SLC natives have already setup and executing a hour long relaxing group ride on Sundays and we'd really like to combine/invite you and all other SLC bikers. Can I get your email Gary? Here are the rough details:

    Meeting spot: Salt Lake Library, area around reflection pool.
    When: Every Sunday at 2:30, start at 3:00.

    I think we need to be a bit more consolidated about our rides. Should we make a rides section of the blog? Should I put the calendar back up and change it up a bit? What can we do to ensure that we have well-promoted rides and less confusion and disarray?
