The ride will leave SLC this Monday evening before sunset and travel westward at a very leisurely pace. We will travel forth until it is agreed that we have gone far enough at which point we shall pitch tents, eat, drink, and be merry. Upon rising with the sun we will return home to SLC...
Pretty simple, yeah? Come along!
Whoa... that actually sounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm in. I'm not down for the drinking though. Could we reconsider that part?
ReplyDeleteMeh. Sure.
ReplyDelete<3. Can't make it, but this needs to happen frequently!
ReplyDeleteCycling does depend on proper hydration. Don't forget to drink up folks!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget to bundle up. Temps drop much lower outside city limits, especially near the lake. It will still drop below freezing at night. You may need to snuggle up to conserve heat.
I did this ride last night. It will never happend again until the temperature is much higher. did I die? No. was it cold? Very.
ReplyDeleteAgreed w/ the water- don't pay for a few hours of riding with an all day migraine... (like I did yesterday)
ReplyDeleteJoergen you could always rent some sub degree gear to keep toasty next time.

It wasn't that I didn't have the sub degree gear but rather I forgot to put on my woolens before I fell asleep and the didn't want to get out of my tent to get them when I woke up every ten minutes...
ReplyDeleteShit, dude. Glad you didn't die. I'm sure it hardened you up, though! I'm impressed.
