The bike summit's happening April 16th and 17th, it was very informative and functional last year despite the rain and should be great this year. I felt as though my opinions and thoughts mattered last year, go inform policy right here in salt lake and rub shoulders with our very bike-friendly representatives. i guess i am a pessimist these days, but it was sad to see that most of the cyclists attending this event were older, not many younger cyclists. this city will not be vibrant with cyclists unless they learn to draw in the younger crowd. also, the dates should have been in may. planning it during the bike tour/slc marathon was a bad idea.

ReplyDeleteReally though I pretty much agree with you. But people will ride, and the volume of folks attending those meetings will increase.
