A lil' about me...Pagebreak test!

One of the new fun features we cooked up for Saltcycle is the ability to abridge posts. If this works, I can write just a little here, but if you click the link you'll get a (boring) summary of me, Davey, and my current bikes! This will allow us to do full write-ups, product reviews, or 4 page rants about that roadie that thought you were racing him when you weren't, all the while keeping the main page blissfully to-the-point!

Cool Huh?! so that worked! I'll use this space to re-introduce myself as a saltcycle writer. I'm a 22 year old white dude that got into bikes when I was 16. I started commuting full time about that time, augmenting my bike riding with motorcycling. I've never had a car, and in the last 4 years I've really weaned myself off of motorcycles and don't have one of those any more either. About a year ago I had 5-6 singlespeeds and no geared bikes, now I have a more even split and have focused down to 4 bikes, a feat I'm particularly proud of.

My basic fixed gear has always gotten the most miles. I got into bullhorn bars when my bike was too small and they've stuck now that my bike fits, I've compensated by installing a small stem :). Lindsey built this frame for me as her second learner frame, it's held up quite well this spring and I don't plan on ever replacing it.

My secondmost ridden bike is my Salsa Cassaroll, or my transformer bike. In the summer I tour on it and have it as a grocery bike, in the winter I turn it into a singlespeed and ride it almost every day when the weather's shit. I'll upload a singlespeed version of it later.

My new bike is rivaling Lindsey's fixed gear for favorite bike, and definitely kicks my ass the most. It's an old french cyclocross bike called a Phillipe, I know almost nothing about it but it rides very, very well and has neat details like cutout lugs, a curving seat-tube, and an internally routed rear-brake cable.

My fourth bike is a dumpsterdoven MTB which had a shady singulator system on it but recently I've turned it into a 1x9. I have to fix it, then I'll ad a pic. I work as a delivery guy for Jason's Deli and try to ride on a few long rides on the weekends, road or mountain. I really like alleycat races and want more to happen here.
